Natural Disaster Peer Support Group

Recovering from a natural disaster can be an overwhelming and challenging experience. At the Mariposa Family Resource Center, we offer a compassionate and understanding space where individuals impacted by natural disasters can find support, strength, and resources to navigate the path to recovery.

Safe and Empathetic Environment: Our support group provides a safe and empathetic environment where individuals affected by natural disasters can share their experiences, emotions, and challenges without judgment. We foster a culture of compassion, understanding, and confidentiality to ensure that everyone feels supported and heard.

Peer Support: We believe in the power of connecting with others who have gone through similar experiences. Our support group brings together individuals who have been impacted by natural disasters, providing an opportunity to connect, share stories, exchange practical advice, and find comfort in knowing you’re not alone. Through peer support, you can gain insights, strength, and resilience for your recovery journey.

Resources and Practical Guidance: In addition to peer support, we provide access to resources, information, and practical guidance to assist with disaster recovery. These resources may include information on emergency assistance programs, insurance claims, mental health services, rebuilding resources, and community support networks. We strive to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the recovery process successfully.

Embrace Healing and Recovery: By participating in our Natural Disaster Support Group, you’ll have the opportunity to heal, grow, and rebuild your life after a natural disaster. Together, we can support one another, share valuable insights, and inspire each other to find hope, strength, and renewal.

We’re here to support you on your journey to recovery.
