At the Mariposa Family Resource Center, we are dedicated to supporting and empowering families in our community. We understand that families face various challenges and transitions throughout life, and we are here to provide the resources, services, and guidance needed to navigate through them successfully.

Our center is an inclusive space for all families, regardless of background, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status. We believe in the importance of fostering a strong sense of community, where families can connect, learn, and grow together.

Our mission is to promote the overall well-being and resilience of families by offering a wide range of programs and services. From parenting workshops and support groups to educational resources, we strive to address the diverse needs of families at every stage of life.

We are proud to collaborate with local organizations, professionals, and volunteers to ensure that our center remains a hub of knowledge and support. Through these partnerships, we are able to offer a comprehensive array of services, including:

  1. Parenting Education: We provide classes on various parenting topics, such as child development, positive discipline, and effective communication.

  2. Support Groups: We facilitate support groups for parents, caregivers, and children who have specific needs such as grief and loss, natural disasters, & LGBTQ+.

  3. Family Enrichment Activities: We organize regular community activities, including family fun days and gatherings to foster connections, promote learning, and strengthen the bonds within our community.

Alliance for Community Transformations

The Mariposa Family Resource Center operates under the administrative umbrella of the Alliance for Community Transformations, a 501(c)3 non-profit. The Alliance provides responsive and preventative services to individuals and families, and works through partnerships and collective action to create truly safe, healthy, and socially just communities where every member thrives.

The Alliance for Community Transformations is comprised of six agencies based in Mariposa and Merced Counties. The Mariposa Family Resource Center is proud to be in partnership with Mountain Crisis Services, CASA of Mariposa County,  Valley Crisis Center, Ethos Youth Center, Mariposa Heritage House, and Connections.
